As the countdown to the Show continues, we're transforming a full-sized grain silo into a working recording space, lined entirely with Sisalwool natural fibre insulation. It's practical, it's unusual, and it's a genuine demonstration of one of our product's standout qualities: acoustic performance.
A Different Kind of Show Feature
For the duration of the Show, the silo becomes a space where conversations can be recorded, interviews can be filmed, and content can be created in the middle of one of Scotland's busiest and most vibrant event environments.
The Royal Highland Show is full of energy, movement, noise and activity. Creating a space that feels calm, controlled and fit for high-quality recording is no small task. That's where Sisalwool comes in.
Why Acoustics Matter
Insulation is often talked about in terms of thermal performance, sustainability and breathability and rightly so. But acoustic control matters too.
Whether it's a home, an office, a studio or a shared public space, the way a room handles sound has a huge impact on how it feels and functions. Good acoustics can make a space more comfortable, more usable and far more pleasant to spend time in.
By lining the podcast studio with Sisalwool natural fibre insulation, we're creating a recording environment that deals effectively with background noise and echo, even in the middle of the usual Highland Show hustle and bustle.
It's a practical way to show that natural insulation isn't just sustainable and breathable, it also performs where sound quality matters.
A Space for Exhibitors and Creators
The studio isn't just there to look good. We're building it to be used.
We're inviting exhibitors and content creators at the Show to use the space to record podcasts, film interviews, create social content or capture conversations during the event.
Whether you're bringing a full production team or simply want a professional setting to create something useful, the studio is here to offer a flexible and welcoming base across the four days.
This is part of a wider ambition to make the Sisalwool presence at the Show feel interactive and worthwhile…..not just a stand to visit, but a space to experience.
More Than an Installation
The podcast studio is also a simple way of showing what Sisalwool stands for.
It's about taking natural materials seriously. It's about proving performance in a way people can hear and feel for themselves. And it's about showing that sustainability, practicality and design can work together.
