Sisalwool partners with The Verdancy Group to support industry training

Sisalwool has announced a partnership with The Verdancy Group, and its training arm Apex Training, to help educate, coach and train people working across the sector, with a focus on practical skills and greater awareness of natural insulation systems.

This collaboration forms part of Sisalwool’s wider commitment to supporting the construction workforce of today while creating clearer pathways and opportunities for younger people entering the industry.

The partnership follows discussions between Sisalwool and The Verdancy Group around how the two businesses can work together to support installers through training, product exposure and industry engagement.

The Verdancy Group will play a key role in delivering learning activity through its training offer, while Sisalwool will benefit from direct engagement with experienced installers and increased visibility for its products.

Nic McCormick, CEO of Sisalwool, said: “We’re really pleased to be working with The Verdancy Group on this partnership. It’s a strong opportunity for us to support training in the sector, help installers understand natural insulation systems in a practical way and showcase the value of our products in real-world applications. Because Sisalwool is designed to be safer and more comfortable to handle than many traditional materials, it is especially well suited to training environments and live installation, giving both new entrants and experienced installers a better experience on site.”

Steven Kiakowski, Director of Green Skills at The Verdancy Group, said: “We see a strong opportunity to work in partnership with Sisalwool to introduce installers to natural insulation systems as part of practical training, align delivery with real-world system specifications and best practice, and support the wider industry with high-quality learning.”

The partnership is expected to support upcoming courses and practical sessions, with Apex Training already progressing delivery of its Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Insulation and Building Treatments from its Training Centre at the BE-ST Innovation Campus.

Sisalwool said it expects the collaboration to help position its products within training environments while also supporting the wider push for low-carbon, high-performance building materials and helping bring new talent into the sector.
