Sisalwool has been nominated for a Sustainable Innovation Award in the 2026 Scottish Impact Awards, which recognise organisations across Scotland that put responsible business into practice.
The awards, delivered by The Herald, look at the work companies are doing on climate, community, inclusion, wellbeing and sustainable innovation. They are less about claims on a website and more about whether purpose shows up in how a business actually operates.
That sits close to what Sisalwool is trying to do. In making natural fibre insulation in Scotland from sisal, wool and recycled fibres, Sisalwool aims to cut embodied carbon and giving older buildings a breathable, practical alternative to conventional insulation.
The awards evening takes place on Thursday 1 October at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow.
A nomination like this is worth celebrating. It is independent recognition of the work the team, partners and installers have put into making natural fibre insulation a serious option for Scottish buildings, and it is something the whole company is proud of.
